Mayta (マイタ) is a young repair-girl aboard Gargantia. She joins Pinion when he leads a group of the fleet away.
Personality[]
Mayta appears to have a no nonsense personality. She mostly keeps Pinion focused on his tasks, and gets annoyed by his laxity. Though she seems tomboyish, she also has a feminine side, as evidence when to tried out a dancer outfit.

Mayta and Pinion while eating lunch watched Bellows perform her legendary dance, who earned much praise by her spectators. Inspired, Mayta tried on a dancer outfit and was caught by Pinion who's appearance startled her.
Suisei no Gargantia BD-BOX III LOGBOOK III[]
Mayta took her leave from working telling Pinion that she was going to fix the boiler of the public baths. After she managed to fix the boiler, and the baths were cleaned, her success was capitalized by Ridget, Bellows, Amy, Saaya and Melty who decide to go for a soak. as she was busy washing her body for the baths, she was unaware that she and the women were being watched by Ledo via Pinion's one way mirror. Amy and her friends complained that Ridget and Bellows didn't contribute in the preparing the baths, which Mayta pointed out that credit should belong to her as she was the one who fixed the boiler Pouting at the edge of the bath, was distracted when she heard a commotion coming form the pipes. Before she could enter the baths, the water began to drain much to the confusion of the women. Climbing down on the bath rooms, she deduced that there may be a leak in the drain valve in the pup room. Later discovered Pinion's one way mirror which she showed him with an annoyed expression.
